I would like to thank everyone who helps out and serves on the youth ministry team at Cornerstone. We could not have a life changing ministry without your help. There are so many of you who would do anything that was asked of you, because you want to serve our youth, and our Lord and Savior. Just this morning at church two young people were baptized. When good things happen in our youth ministry at Cornerstone it is because of the great team we have here for the Lord.
Several others of you help out with youth outreach events at Summer Zone, 5th Quarter, and Trunk or Treat. The last couple of years we have had around 70 adults helping out at Summer Zone. This is tremendous! Trunk or Treat is quickly approaching and we will need an army of volunteers to make this event a huge success.
So many of you are much more than volunteers, you are servants and ministers of the Lord. Our church’s success depends on you, and you have come through for us time and time again. You give freely out of your heart, and you go the extra mile to do what you can to help out. Thanks to all of you, Cornerstone continues to grow and provide life changing ministries to those in our community. No matter whether it is changing diapers, taking out the trash, setting up tables and chairs, preparing and serving food, cleaning the baptistery, or teaching and leading our wonderful young people to be more like Jesus. You guys are the best! Once again, thank you for all of your hard work, prayers, and for taking the time to care about our youth ministry. I would like to leave you with a passage of Scripture from Paul to the church in Philippi, and his thoughts echo my own about all of you at Cornerstone. In Philippians 1:3-11 it says, “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ - to the glory and praise of God.
